DARKENED EXPECTATIONS

...What? Not quite what you were expecting when you read the title?

Well, that's understandable. After all, Disney isn't supposed to be gloomy, right? Well, truth be told, Paradise Pier isn't exactly what it used to be. Back when the Academy first opened, the location that surrounded it was known for being the most lovely and temperate area in Maine-- especially beautiful during those detestably humid dog days of summer elsewhere. The Pier boasts gorgeous landscapes, dramatic cliffs, artistic lighthouses, and what was once an adorable seaside community whose residents were the envy of the east coast.

So, what happened? The Typhoon, that's what. Well... that's what they call it now, anyway. It wasn't exactly a typhoon-- just a really unfortunately violent bit of bad weather.. so bad that by the time it had released Paradise Pier from its clutches, it promptly acquired the sarcastic nickname, "Typhoon Lagoon" What was once the state's most prized city had become no more than lobsters' stomping grounds.

The focus now is on restoration! Little by little the town rebuilt itself as best it could on top of its remains, along with its beloved self-named boarding school, which had been renowned for not only its location, but its academic excellence and impressive variety of weird, almost quirky study fields for students to choose from. It soon became clear that Paradise Pier would never again be the "paradise" it once was, but the name was kept in remembrance nonetheless, and it cannot be denied that despite its dreary atmosphere, the glum little lagoon has an oddly endearing quality to it...

Welcome to the Twilight Universe

It has been 17 years since Bella had been turned, and things for the Vampire world hasn't been so bright. For as long as the Vampires of Volterra have been around, there has been a stray vampire from their royalty, rising in power in Sicily.

Carlisle has been receiving a letter's from the Volturri, saying that they were recruiting an army to take down this rising power in Sicily, and that it could effect their lifestyle. Some of the followers of this new rising power are new born vampires, something that the Volturri are extremly un-found off. Have started to come to America, specifically washington, where they can stay in hiding.

These vampires don't believe in hunting animals, they only hunt humans. Some of the Volturri's followers (especially the Cullen's) do not approve of this at all, and they are coming from all over, to fight this battle out in Forks.

The Werewolves are siding with the Cullen's, to keep humans safe from these monsters. And some of the secrets are becoming known to the humans, and those humans side with the Cullen's as well.
